Martin Drury has worked within the asbestos removal and hazardous materials industries since 1991 as contracts coordinator, contracts manager and as director/company secretary of Burton Environmental Services. He has extensive experience of contract administration and project management.


Ron Cowen - Operations Director

Ron Cowen entered the asbestos industry in 1991 and has worked for major international asbestos abatement contracting organisations. He has held site supervisory and management positions and in his role as operations director at Burton Environmental Services he has managed projects within the health care and education sectors
exceeding £1million.

Steve Shutler - Technical Director

Steve Shutler is a Chartered Environmental Health Practitioner and a Chartered Safety and Health Practitioner. He started his working life as an Environmental Health Officer with The City of Stoke on Trent and left local government service in 1987 to form a consultancy offering UKAS accredited asbestos surveys and materials testing services. By 2004 his company was recognised as a leader in this field and was acquired by a major European laboratory. He joined BES in 2005. Steve lectures widely on asbestos related subjects. He is also an examiner for the British Occupational Hygiene Society's Certificate of Competence in Asbestos examination.

 

Andrea Bysh - Safety and Environmental Manager

We are very pleased to have been joined by Andrea Bysh who has been
appointed as Safety and Environmental Manager.
Andrea is one of a very select band of women working within the asbestos contracting industry with both professional asbestos and safety qualifications.
Andrea has also previously worked within the waste disposal industry and having spent her formative years in Germany is a fluent German speaker.
